SO.

I'm finding that I don't use my computer as much at home, unless I'm ridiculously bored and feel like checking me e-mail.

I'm really excited for my shows returning in the next months... American Idol, Lost, 24. And that football is almost over. I'm learning far too much about football. More than I would ever need to know. Though, I wish my Dad's team would win for once. It really would make his day. He's having a hard time and work and all that jazz... it seems all he wants is for the Cowboys to make it to the playoffs. Which, right now, is a huge long shot. I'm watching some game that will decide something for the Cowboys.

With my free time, I've also been cooking! So far I've made sugar cookies, icing for the cookies, gingerbread, nachos, and guacamole.

Here's my winning recipe for guacamole:
1 avocado
1 small onion
1 lime
1 lemon
3-4 slices of jalapeño pepper
1 TBS jalapeño juice

Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, and scoop out the inside into a bowl. Cut and dice half the onion and add to the bowl. Cut the lime and lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the bowl, be sure to catch the lemon seeds before they go in. I used sliced jalapeños from a jar, so I take about three or four of the slices, dice them, and add them. Then, I take the juice from the jar and pour about a TBS into the bowl as well. Now, I don't know what the tool is called that I use, and neither do my parents... but, basically, mash the contents of the bowl, making it as smooth as suited to your preference. Personally, I like it chunky.
Any of these ingredients can be in smaller or bigger portions depending on your own taste, I know I sometimes use the whole lime sometimes. Other hot sauces would be okay to use, too. But, in general, this should make some pretty good guacamole. Hope you try and enjoy :)

The Christmas stress seems to be affecting most people in my family, and AJ isn't helping anyone. I swear that kid has some problems.

What part of Christmas am I really looking forward to? The seven seafood dishes (for the seven sacraments). Ah, I love seafood. Especially my Momma's crab cakes. And then Chanukah.. my Grandma's brisket. Yeah, I like the holidays for the food. The other best part? Giving my parents their presents. I really hope they like them.. for me- I really spent a lot. I got my Dad the first season of one of his favorite TV shows-Hogan's Heros. And I got my mom a digital picture frame keychain, so she doesn't have to constantly replace her picture holder keychain all the time. I'm going to put pictures on it... eventually. Oi, I hope I remember to...

The snow prevented me from going down to Rutgers :(

Georgia's boyfriend is really pushing my buttons. And my parents. At least Joey and I make fun of him at his expense, but even that gets boring after awhile. I can't wait for Georgia to get out there and meet some people in the city. It's about time. She deserves someone fun and kind. Not some emotional, whiney asshole that has no respect for our household.
Seriously. Who walks into someone else's house, after 10 PM, without at least knocking.

I did pilates yesterday for the first time since the summer. And my entire body hurts. I knew I would be sore, but it sucks. I'm going to try and make myself do it a little later. I'd like to keep up with it. Being flexable is a good thing in every sense of the word.

I don't remember the last time I've been this relaxed, though. I love breaks. I don't do anything I don't want, I don't have to deal with people I don't want to... for the most part. The only problem is, with the horrible weather conditions, I'm really too scared to venture far out of my house with my car so I don't see the people that I actually want to see. Oh well. Hopefully the weather will clear up after the holidays.

On a final note, the guy from the School of Art emailed me back and suggested I sign up for an interview for early February the week we start classes again. UGH I'm so nervous :(

Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas :)
